Born on February 19th, 1974, in Bucharest (Romania), his native city and current residence, Daniel Cristea-Enache, PhD in Philology (summa cum laude), is Director of Communications at the Writers’ Union of Romania, Editor at “România literară” / “The Literary Romania” cultural magazine, Director of “Literatura de azi” / The “Today’s Literature” online cultural magazine, and columnist for Radio Trinitas.
Cristea-Enache is Associate Professor in the Department of Literary Studies, Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest.
He was Guest of the Rector (Andrei Pleşu) at New Europe College, Institute for Advanced Study.
As an academic and a literary critic, Cristea-Enache has contributed over 15 books, as well as over 1,000 studies, essays, reviews, literary chronicles and interviews in renowned Romanian and European literary journals.
He has been awarded over ten literary prizes and distinctions.
Daniel Cristea-Enache is married, having a wonderful family, two children (a daughter and a son), and a cat.
